Happy New Year!
As in the spirit of renewal I have been updating my website, including my bio, and my policies! This last year has been a huge eye opener in both the dog world and in other areas of my life. So for those who don't know me, Im Em and I love working with dogs, I do have preferences for breed types, preferring gundogs and other working types, however I have yet to meet a dog I didn't get on with. During my years working with dogs, I have experienced working with both pet dogs and working dogs, as well as a huge range of behavioural issues, unusual breeds/breed specific behaviours/breed specific behaviour issues training/lack of training issues, rescues/decompression/bond development, canine sports canicross, bikejor, scooter and more.
I currently operate a small business, where I am the sole human behind the wheels. In which I pride myself to working to high standards. I believe in high standards of welfare, kindness, and do my best to combine my years of handling experience, training, courses, education to offer force free canine care, that really and truly puts canine welfare and care first.
All dogs are treated with the same care and attention I show my own dogs, using FF techniques and understanding of behaviours/body language and breed specifics instead of tools to manage behaviours. Each dog is treated, managed, and assessed as individuals, as well as part of the group as a whole should they be in group walks.

About dog walking.
During walking it is important that dogs have or are working hard to achieve a minimum set of behaviours and social skills in order to be able be walked in group settings, with assessments made from meet and greets, owner/handler assessments and a trial period. It is important to all existing and potential clients that everyone compliments each other when in group settings in order to ensure that every dog does enjoy their time being walked and gets the most from their time with me.
Walk locations, dogs, pick up/drop offs and all handling situations are risk assessed, with protocols in place to ensure all dogs are set up for success.
I generally keep my groups to numbers of 4, however according to my insurance coverage and local guidance and regulations, I am permitted in all the areas I walk to walk a group of 6 maximum. Worth noting there are several areas in Surrey who have specific number regulations and these are adhered too should I walk in these areas.
When walking dogs, I stick to the Surrey Code of Conduct laid out for Professional Dog Walkers, whilst ensuring I leave the area better than when I arrived by litter picking or reporting fly tipping etc.

The SCC Note: It is advisable that all walkers using ANY are of Surrey should be familiar with the SCC, as well as all legislation regarding dog restrictions, numbers or other rules that must be followed.
